I'm a Principal Product Manager working on recommender systems and new forms of interaction with media. At Spotify, my work focuses on how people discover, explore, and interact with music and other content — from search and recommendation to interactive and conversational experiences.
My background is in recommender systems, and I've stayed closely connected to the research community throughout my career. My recent research has focused on search and discovery at Spotify, including exploratory search and using language models to improve the retrieval of content that is otherwise difficult to find. I'm particularly interested in the space between research and product: taking ideas from recommender systems, information retrieval, and human-computer interaction and turning them into experiences used at scale.
Outside of my day-to-day work, I'm an active volunteer in the ACM RecSys community. I've served in a range of roles over the years, including General Chair of RecSys 2021, and I currently serve on the Executive Committee of the ACM RecSys Steering Committee.
